When she first came home I taught her to move over as she was eating so her rear end wouldn't be so close to me when I walked into the corral. The way she learned is by me making noise at her and then telling her to move her butt over. Okay, not the best phrase but it worked. Fast forward to last Friday. I was up on the railing trying to teach her a side pass. I had the cue whip and tried to get her to move over without success. Finally, after no response; I said "move your butt over" She moved to the fence immediately!! I had a hard time not laughing myself off the rail. I really do need to take more care on the phrases I use!!! I'm learning as well as Topaz so the next horse will benefit. Taking a lot more care of which words I use as cues!! LOL
